If you’re between 18 and 27 and already have a valid 12-25 or 12-30 railcard, you automatically qualify for the new Jeune programme benefits. There’s no need to change your card.
Starting December 20, you can buy a Jeune 18-27 railcard — even after you turn 27 — and use it until the day before your 28th birthday. If you decide to buy the card after your 27th birthday, remember that it will be valid for less than a full year.

Ticket exchanges & refunds
For TGV and Intercité trains requiring reservations, you can still exchange your tickets free of charge or receive a full refund until the day before your scheduled departure. And if you exchange your tickets on the day of departure, you pay only €3 per person per leg of your journey—instead of €10 for non-cardholders—plus the difference, if any, between the tickets you exchanged and your new ones.
