Email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org
To 0 825 825 957, or +33 8 25 82 59 57 from outside France. You pay €0.15/min including tax, plus any fees charged by your service provider.
If you travel in a wheelchair and cannot use a passenger seat, there are spaces reserved for you aboard our TGVs. When these dedicated spaces are located in a 1st-class coach, you pay the 2nd class fare, and your accompanying person* benefits from the same discount.
If no dedicated space is available and you can use a passenger seat in 1st or 2nd class, you pay the fare for the travel class of your choice, and your accompanying person travels for free or at a 50% discount, depending on the terms of your disability card*.
Please follow the safety guidelines for folding and storing your chair to ensure that everyone can move about the train freely. If your chair is bulky, feel free to ask your conductor for a temporary chair: its smaller size makes it ideal for visiting toilets that are not independently accessible.
Planning ahead will help ensure that your journey goes as smoothly as possible. The advisers at our Accès Plus Service Centre are on hand to answer all your questions and help you prepare for your travels.
* Subject to eligibility and fare availability
Do you need to use a wheelchair when you travel aboard Intercités trains? We’ve provided amenities to make your journey as pleasant and comfortable as possible:
To help us accommodate you during your journey, you must book a seat in the dedicated wheelchair area.
* Varies with the dimensions of your wheelchair
Do you travel with a wheelchair? Or perhaps your mobility is temporarily limited? Whatever your circumstances, we have on-board amenities especially for you.
Aboard trains not requiring reservations, you have access to seats that give priority to two passenger categories:
Don’t hesitate to ask for information ahead of time to ensure that you book priority seating and travel in comfort.
New-generation TER trains feature independently accessible toilets and one or more spaces designed for wheelchair users, but older TERs may not.
Contact a TER Customer Relations Centre to find out whether your train or coach is wheelchair-accessible.
Do you like to travel in overnight trains? They have a lot of appeal, but trains that run at night are less accessible than our daytime trains. We recommend that wheelchair users avoid them because they cannot offer the highest levels of comfort.
If you have a disability that limits your range of motion, please remember to request a bottom berth near the entrance of the coach when you book. This will make it easier for you to use your couchette.
Do you travel with a guide dog? If the other passengers don't object, you can bring your animal into your couchette compartment.
If the other passengers are not willing to have your guide or service dog in the compartment, call for the on-board staff, who will find an appropriate solution. If no solution can be found, the other passengers must accept your animal.
On international trains, you are not required to book the entire sleeper coach compartment, so you can travel with confidence.
