Relax! Your luggage, bicycle and pet are welcome on our trains and in our stations.

Your luggage

  • Door-to-door delivery: For trains requiring reservations*, we’ll pick up luggage at your home and deliver it to the address of your choice the next day. Reserve when you buy your ticket or up to noon on the day before you travel. You can specify pickup and delivery times, and track progress.
  • Luggage on board: Our trains have luggage areas for your bags next to your seat. Be sure to label them with your name and address.
  • Porters: Porters on the platform can help with your bags. Identify them by their “Service en gare” badge.

    Porter fees:
    • €4.60 up to 3 bags
    • €7.60 from 4 to 6 bags

  • Trolleys: Luggage trolleys are available at key points near stations and platforms.

* For TGV high-speed trains: this service is available in continental France (including Île-de-Ré, Noirmoutier and Oléron), Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg (in Switzerland deliveries are limited to train stations).

Left luggage

Leave your luggage with us—for as little as one hour, or up to 24 hours in some stations.
Luggage lockers are available in the following stations:

  • Bordeaux St-Jean
  • Lyon-Part Dieu
  • Marne-la-Vallée Chessy
  • Marseille
  • Nantes
  • Nice
  • Paris Austerlitz, Paris Est, Paris Lyon, Paris Montparnasse and Paris-Nord
  • Strasbourg
  • Toulouse Matabiau

Store your luggage for 24 hours, and you’ll pay €7.50 for a medium-sized locker and €9.50 for a large one.*
We also have staffed Left Luggage offices at our Lille Europe and Dijon stations.  The fee is €4 for the first two hours, and €9.50 for the first 24*.

Train + bicycle

To take your bicycle with you, choose from two options:

  • Remove wheels, put them and the frame in a carrying bag, and simply bring the bag onto any train as hand luggage.
  • Otherwise, use the special bicycle storage areas available on certain trains. Check fees and reservation requirements when you buy your ticket.

Take your
pet along

On some trains, you can bring a pet in a bag (maximum 55 x 30 x 30 cm) for €6.

Pets can travel on your lap, or on a leash and muzzled near you, for 50% of a full-faire 2nd-class ticket—even if you travel in 1st class.

Service dogs travel free on all our trains.
