Ticket types

Choose the ticket collection method that’s most convenient for you—choose from Internet, telephone, post and more.

  • e-ticket: book, pay and print your e-ticket confirmation whenever and wherever you like.
  • m-ticket: download one of our four mobile apps offering m-tickets (Voyages SNCF, TGV Pro, SNCF Direct or Passbook), and buy tickets anywhere with your smartphone. When the conductor comes by, simply show him the ticket barcode on your mobile so he can scan it.
  • home ticket delivery: have your ticket posted to the address of your choice within two to four days of your order (inside France). If you live outside France, allow an average of 7 days for your ticket to arrive.
  • SNCF loyalty programme: when you join our Voyageur programme, your ticket is automatically loaded onto your loyalty card as soon as you buy it—no more paper.

m-ticket tips

Smartphone on the blink? Don’t worry, you can always print your e-ticket from the confirmation sent to your email account. If you’re a Voyageur programme member, you’re ineligible for m-tickets since your ticket is automatically loaded onto your “ticketless” Voyageur card.

Use our order-tracking service

By telephone

Dial +33 9 70 60 99 60 (no surcharge).

Tracking
your tickets

Want to receive paper tickets at your home address? Use our automated home ticket delivery service, and your tickets should arrive in two to four business days (1).

If the delivery address listed in your email confirmation is not correct, please contact SNCF Customer Service on the Internet.

If the ticket delivery address is correct and you will be departing soon, go to an SNCF station or sales office with the reference number for your order, and your ticket will be reprinted at the original fare (2).

(1) If your tickets do not arrive as expected, please contact our order-tracking service.
(2) These terms do apply in all cases. For more information, ask at an SNCF sales office or station.

Exchanges
& refunds

Need to change your travel date or your destination? Depending on the train and fare you choose, you may be able to exchange or cancel your ticket or get a refund. Ask for details when you book.

Traffic updates

You’ll find full information on train departures and arrivals on the Internet, but you can also use your landline, our mobile app, or our CD-ROM. And of course departures and arrivals are displayed in our stations. In every case, you’ll get real-time rail traffic updates, plus any changes in our train timetables.
