SNCF has signed the Diversity Charter and fights all forms of discrimination, including discrimination against disabled people.

25 years of commitment
It was in 1992 that our unions and management signed the first company agreement in support of the employment of workers with disabilities. Since then, the agreement has been renewed regularly and has specific objectives. The 2003-2007 agreement provides for the recruitment of more than 100 disabled workers per year, with improvement in working conditions and integration to back this up. The result has been the recruitment of 94 people with disabilities in 2004, 136 in 2005 and 167 in 2006, effectively bringing the total to close to 4,300 employees with disabilities. Modifying workstations and working hours, improving access to premises, helping staff who have become unfit in the course of their career to remain in work, and increasing the amount of purchases from "protected sector" employers are just some of the aspects of the work carried out by the SNCF Disabilities and Employment Team.
