In Ile-de-France, when the trains go to sleep, the buses wake up. From 12.30 am onwards, travel by Noctilien night bus!
Night owl or early bird – there’s no need to panic! Night buses cover the Ile-de-France between 12.30 am and 5.30 in the morning. More than 40 bus routes displaying the the letter “N” metamorphose into moths and take you where you want to go. Departing from the four main Paris railway stations (Gare de Lyon, Gare de l’Est, Saint-Lazare and Montparnasse) and from Châtelet, they serve more than 2,000 stops including the capital’s liveliest nightspot areas (Champs-Élysées, Saint-Germain and Bastille) and more than 200 towns in Ile-de-France. There’s always a Noctilien on your way home. Sleep peacefully! Buses are fitted with surveillance cameras linked to the security centre. RATP agents are on hand at the five main connection points to provide information. Astonishing, and very useful: an on-board assistant will wake you up as you approach your requested stop in the Transilien night bus and on two RATP lines. All for the price of a metro ticket or on presentation of a valid Orange, Intégrale, Imagine-R or Mobilis card for the travel zones crossed. No, you’re not dreaming, it’s the Noctilien: a service set up by the Ile de France Transport Authority (STIF) and local authorities and run by the RATP and SNCF.
