Please stand clear! mooviTER is pulling in to Rennes station, fitted out with the latest high-tech features. Just like on a TGV...Welcome on board the first "living" regional train. Not one of mooviTER's carriages is the same as another - because there are so many different ways to travel. You can have fun in the playzone with games consoles on the wall and a touch-screen chess set; you can swot up or catch up on your business in the individual work zone; or you can gaze out at the countryside in the discovery zone with its seats that face out of our wide windows. A technological masterpiece. Get up-to-the-minute info on the next stop and the connections available on the ten data screens. If there is any disruption, you will be informed of the delay and even the reason for it! Other screens display the weather forecast and information about regional activities and forthcoming cultural events. The train will be inaugurated in Rennes on 10 October and then set off for a tour of the regions of France. It will go into commercial service in Brittany on 6 December. This full-scale trial will be used to gauge the satisfaction of passengers and of the regional authorities that commissioned the design, in order to fine tune the next regional trains of the future. |
