Candles blown out at the Creusot Festival. Two awards crowned the films of the SNCF, one a grand prize honouring the whole of its audio-visual work.4000 films! A collection of 4000 feature-length, short and medium-length films, that have been produced by the SNCF since its creation. It's a rich array of audiovisual communication, reflecting an activity that has been powered by the hard work of women and men for 70 years. This massive PR & communication effort has now been rewarded. The SNCF was awarded the Michel Frois Grand Prize at the International Business Film Festival in Creusot (FIMAC). This award honours the best corporate audiovisual communications, judged on the basis of a company's entire film output. The SNCF also received a second award for "Marche prudente" (Careful Running), a 6-minute film on the complex theme of the strict safety procedures governing the restart of traffic after a sudden stoppage. It won the prize for "Best Film on Safety and Risk prevention". In addition, "SNCF, 1937-2007, une entreprise en mouvement", a feature film specially made for the 70th anniversary of the SNCF, was also shown at Creusot. This documentary, already shown last January in the "L'Art entre en gare" exhibition-train tells the story of the SNCF. Cutthroat competition with cars and planes, modernisation, technological performance, speed records, European issues, the challenge of ecomobility... So many striking episodes in 60 exciting minutes, narrated in the style of a TV documentary... It all goes to show that throughout its history, the SNCF has always been ahead of its time. Happy birthday, SNCF. You're a star! In 2007, the SNCF also won the following awards: |
