Big (Green) Night Out

Big Night Out

08/09/29

The night of October 4th, the main Paris train stations illuminated their footlights as well as the awe-struck faces of many children...

Check out our stations in a new light - night light. High-profile artists from around the world have been brought in to create a magical atmosphere. At the Gare du Nord, New Yorker Tony Oursler will be showing an enormous film of teenagers singing. At the Gare de L'Est, you can take centre stage with Pierrick Sorin, and have your photo projected onto a panoramic screen. At the Gare de Lyon, play personal assistant to Bollywood director Shaad Ali as he shoots a major film scene. At the Gare de Bercy, the auto-train car park will become the launch pad for a whole range of historic rockets that never flew. And Gare Saint-Lazare, your senses will be tested to their limits , as the sun comes in to the station, the earth shakes and the cosmos is born...

Back to earth. If you want to get from one station to another, the SNCF is offering (free) rides in a fleet of "cyclobulles", two-seater electrically power-assisted tricycles. Get a feel for the SNCF's new ecomobility drive as you sit back and enjoy the view.
