Best of Angoulême 2010

Comics Festival

10/01/28

Sncf.com Video News brings you the winner of the Fnac-SNCF Prize and highlights from the 37th Angoulême Comics Festival.

And the winners are... After Gally's Mon gras et moi (éditions Diantre) took the Readers' Prize in 2009, Michel Rabagliati's Paul à Quebec (éditions la Pastèque) is awarded the 2010 Readers' FNAC-SNCF Prize. The Railway Workers' prize goes to Patrice Pellerin for L’Épervier Tome 7 – La Mission (éditions Soleil Productions). The Fauve d'Or Best Album 2010 is awarded to Pascal Brutal Tome 3 – Plus fort que les plus forts (éditions Fluide Gacial) by Riad Sattouf. Baru wins the 2010 City of Angoulême Prize, and he will be Chairman of the judges for the 38th International Comics Festival in January 2011.

The videos are hosted by our comics specialist, who knows the Festival like the back of his pencil case. He'll be bringing you the sights from around the town and the vibe on the streets, keeping his eye on your favourite authors, reporting on progress on the sketch wall, and sneaking back stage to bring you footage of the judges' deliberations. He's your very own reporter from Angoulême!

Featuring - Thursday: watch the authors' train pull in, and catch an interview with Blutch himself. Friday: come on a guided tour of the Blutch exhibition and meet the winner of the daily quiz game. Saturday: tension is mounting ahead of presentation of the Railway Workers' Prize - the winner is...well you'll just have to watch to find out! Sunday: see the judges in deliberation, wait with bated breath for the winner of the Readers' Fnac/ SNCF prize, and watch them interviewed hot from the ceremony.

The SNCF is taking the Angoulême train. Get the latest from the Festival with our Video News. Online from the evening of Thursday 28 January!
