What's the big idea? It's all about rolling out the advantages that you already appreciate on the TGV, Eurostar, Thalys or Lyria to the rest of Europe. What's the aim? We want to make high-speed train travel an ultra-competitive alternative to car and plane travel for all your European journeys.

Just look at the names and you are already on a tour of Europe. The SNCF (France), Deutsche Bahn (Germany), Eurostar (United Kingdom, France, Belgium), NS Hispeed (Netherlands), ÖBB (Austria), CFF (Switzerland) and SNCB (Belgium) are all involved. Add in their joint subsidiaries Thalys, Lyria and Alleo, and that makes for a network of 18,000 km of high-speed railway lines and a choice of 400 destinations across Europe.

What this means for you

From today, Railteam information points will be available to help you with your connections at Railteam network 'hubs' (connection platforms). Throughout your journey, multilingual information is provided, in-station and on board, and if a delayed Railteam train makes you miss your connection, you will be able to catch the next one without changing your ticket*. There are special benefits for the most loyal passengers. They can enjoy the business lounges throughout the network (nearly 40), get special terms for car hire and can use their S'Miles points to travel anyway on the Railteam network in Europe. 

Looking to the future…

The future is Europe-wide retail. You will purchase all your tickets in a single transaction, making the most of a wide range of prices which offer you the lowest fares possible. You will be a European passenger. All your Railteam journeys will earn you loyalty points and you will be able to spend them throughout Europe.
