Since 2016, the SNCF Foundation has supported good causes in multiple countries—a natural outgrowth of the Group’s commitment to making a better life together. We practice this principle by taking action on the ground wherever we do business.

With a presence in 120 countries, SNCF Group is involved in half of the world’s high-speed rail and metro projects, and 60% of all driverless metros. In Morocco, for example, we helped roll out Africa’s first high-speed line, and in India our activities include operating Hyderabad’s automated metro and providing freight transport and logistics services.

To broaden the Group’s day-to-day mission in our host countries, the SNCF Foundation created an international committee, tasked with choosing the right projects and non-profit partners and overseeing targeted projects that build social cohesion beyond the borders of France.

Since its launch 2016, we’ve worked closely with our subsidiaries on this effort, forging new relationships within the Group, energizing our employees and strengthening SNCF’s commitment to social engagement.
