A qualified philosophy teacher (agrégé) with a master’s degree (DEA) in cognitive science from École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Alexandre Viros began his career in 2001 in higher education and research, and later earned a degree from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris. In 2004, he joined Boston Consulting Group as a consultant, and in 2008 moved to the Strategy Department at Fnac Group, a French retailer specializing in cultural goods and electronics. He held various positions at Fnac—all with a strong focus on digital technology and e-commerce—and in 2010 became head of its music and audio unit. In 2012 Alexandre Viros was named sales director at France Billet, a Fnac Group subsidiary, and became its CEO a year later. In June 2016, he moved to Fnac Darty Group as Marketing & E-Commerce Director.
