Jean-Claude Larrieu has headed the Rail Traffic division since July 2013. He began his career at SNCF in 1984, serving as head of Operations and Train Handling.
A graduate of École Polytechnique (1982) and École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris, in 1992 he was named head of driver training for the Transport division and later served as deputy director of Fret SNCF in Lille through 2000. He then joined the staff of the SNCF Chairman’s office, where he was tasked with creating the Operations Division. In 2003, he became Regional Director for Nord-Pas de Calais, including TER operations, and then returned to Fret SNCF in 2006. In 2009 Mr Larrieu was named head of production and service, later serving as head of chemicals/special cargo and marshalling.
