Xavier Roche has served as SNCF’s Chief Services Centre Officer since 1 July 2015.
A graduate of France’s École du Commissariat de l’Air, Xavier Roche held several positions there, ultimately serving as its deputy director. In 2000 he became a magistrate of France’s Cour des Comptes. After his tenure there, he moved to the transport sector, serving as director of project audits at Alstom Transports S.A., where his duties included overseeing the work of the operational and financial auditing department. In 2008 he joined the staff of France’s Minister for Housing, Exclusion and Urban Affairs as an adviser on budgeting and government reform. In 2009, Mr Roche joined Réseau Ferré de France, working first in the audit, risks, insurance and safety division, and later in the finance division. In June 2013, he joined SNCF as head of the Strategy and Finance department for rolling stock.
