How to use our self-service machines

Visit these machines to buy tickets, even at the last minute. And it’s easy to collect, exchange or cancel tickets you bought with a bank card via the Internet, by telephone, or in an SNCF-authorized travel agency: simply insert the bank card you used to make your purchase. You can also buy and renew passes and railcards.

If you’re a business traveller, choose the Pro Express option on the home screen to buy, collect, exchange or cancel your same-day ticket1, or buy or renew your SNCF pass.

Making travel easy

Our self-service machines are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week2, so you can organize your journey fast—whenever you like. Use them to:

  • buy a ticket or e-ticket for immediate departure or for another day, whether your train requires booking or not
  • collect travel documents and e-tickets you purchased on the Internet, by phone or in an authorized travel agency
  • exchange or cancel your ticket or e-ticket (exchange valid for same-journey tickets with booking, departing immediately or on another day)
  • buy or renew your SNCF card or pass, including railcards, monthly or weekly Forfait passes, and coupons for your Fréquence pass

SNCF self-service machines are designed to serve a wide range of customers. They’re accessible in French, English, Italian, German, Spanish and Dutch, and they're equipped with next-generation technology to accommodate people with limited mobility.
