The many benefits of TGV travel

  • Set a course for Augsburg, home to the magnificent 15th-century Basilica of Saints Ulrich and Afra.

  • Visit a café in the charming city centre and indulge in Datschiburger Torte. Though this gourmet treat is well known to connoisseurs, its recipe is still secret.

  • Relax in Baden-Baden—an exceptional spa experience since the days of the Roman Empire. Wunderbar!

  • Between sessions at the spa, get away for a hike in the surrounding—and breathtaking—Black Forest or Merkurberg.

  • Though it’s best known as a major financial centre, Frankfurt will delight you with its many museums, including the Goethe House.

  • Travelling with someone special? Head for the Eiserner Steg, Frankfurt’s most romantic bridge, and add your own love lock.

  • See the colourful streets of Karlsruhe on foot—with the city’s many forms of transport, you’ll never need a car!

  • Stroll among the greenhouses, fountains and sculptures in the city’s lush botanical garden.

  • As you pass through the Friedrichsplatz, Mannheim’s most beautiful square, take a moment to admire the city’s superb water tower.

  • And be sure to visit the magnificent Mannheimer Schloss, the world’s most beautiful Baroque palace—after Versailles, of course.

  • Wander the streets of Munich and take in the life of a city that combines tradition with urban cool.

  • Travel back in time when you visit Munich’s Residenz, palace of the kings of Bavaria until 1918.

  • Take a walk in Ulm, a little gem where medieval meets modern on the banks of the Danube.

  • Feast your eyes on Ulm’s Central Library with its pyramid-shaped glass roof—but don’t forget to feed the swans.
