Boarding your TGV

Everything you need to know about new boarding procedures for your TGV journey

Before you board your TGV

To make your time on board more relaxing, we’re installing digital gates that check your ticket before you access your TGV.

Digital gates will soon be available in 15 major stations in France1.

Travel made easy

  • The new boarding gates at Paris-Montparnasse station.

  • Hold your smartphone over the reader to scan your e-ticket from the SNCF app.

  • Scan the code on your Grand Voyageur rewards card, and the gate will recognize your e-ticket.

  • Present the barcode on your paper ticket.

  • SNCF employees are available on both sides of the gate to assist you with pushchairs, wheelchairs, extra luggage or anything else you need help with.

  • You must go through the boarding gates no later than 2 minutes before your train departs.
