From door
to train

Do you have a short- or long-term disability? Do you need special assistance?

Our Door-to-Train service is made for you.

  • Your personal travel assistant picks you up at your home and checks that everything is in order—gas and electricity turned off? burglar alarm set?—then helps with your luggage.
  • At the station, your assistant punches your ticket and helps you with any last-minute shopping—then assists you to your seat, helps you get settled, stows your luggage and makes sure you’re comfortable.
  • When you arrive, Door-to-Train assistance can also help you get from the station to your final destination.

This service must be reserved at least 7 days before your departure. And if you’re a French resident, you can get a 50% tax credit when you pay for this service with Chèque Emploi Service Universel employment vouchers.

Junior & Cie

Your child is going to visit her grandparents, but you can’t get away to take her there? A solution is at hand: youngsters age 4 to 14 can travel with Junior & Cie (“Junior & Co.”) in the care of a friendly professional. Junior & Cie is available in over 120 stations from €35 (on top of the ticket price) during school holidays, and in 19 stations on weekends.

A trained chaperone accompanies groups of up to 11 children, organizing activities along the way. When the train arrives at its destination, your child is handed over to the adult you’ve designated.

SNCF Assistance

If you encounter service disruptions or major delays, SNCF Assistance can improve your travel experience during peak periods. Our volunteer staff are attentive and service-oriented, with an added guarantee of assistance should you need it.

  • In stations: staff members greet you and keep you informed during delays. If problems continue, they provide simple boxed meals.
  • On board trains: the conductor arranges for onboard staff to assist you.

If your train arrives in Paris after metro and RER lines have shut down for the night, you’ll be transported safely to your home under a special agreement between the city and Paris taxi companies.
