Our offer

Need some help organizing an excursion for your school? We’ve got solutions.

Working with our partners, we deliver customized services that create an unforgettable learning experience for your class. To take advantage of our special offers for school groups, you must be a professional educator travelling with a group of at least 10 people, and your journey must be funded by your school, your community, or a philanthropic donor.

Plan your journey around:

  • our selection of lodgings, approved by the French Ministry of Education
  • our content, which is specially designed to complement school curricula
  • our ideas for tours, activities, and workshops that are both fun and educational
  • educational destinations and itineraries in France (Alsace, Lorraine, the Mediterranean, Midi-Pyrénées, Normandy, Paris, Provence and the Loire region) and Europe (Berlin, Brussels and London), or theme parks such as Futuroscope, near Poitiers, and the Puy du Fou historical park near Nantes

Support services

Relax and enjoy your journey—leave the organizing to us. Book one or more private coaches on an existing train departing from Paris or another French city. In either case, we’re pleased to offer a wide range of additional fee-based services to make your excursion smooth and successful from door to door.

Door-to-door luggage service
This service ensures that luggage for your entire group is delivered to your final destination. We’ll pick up your luggage(1) from the place of your choice and deliver it all to a single address anywhere in France, within 48 hours(2).

(1) Suitcases, duffels, soft-sided bags, and trunks with two handles qualify for this service. No item may exceed 30 kg or combined dimensions of 2.5 metres.
(2) Does not include Saturday, Sunday, bank holidays or days when the competent authority does not allow rail traffic. These days are added to the delivery time.

Baggage handling service
If you’d rather keep your luggage with you, consider our baggage handling service, available in some large stations. When you arrive at the station, your bags and suitcases are picked up at your motor coach or meeting point and transferred to the right coach in your train, making it easier for you to manage your group.

Motor coach services
We can also arrange for your school group to be transported to and/or from your station by certified, top-quality motor coach operators.

Cancellation and repatriation insurance
With cancellation and repatriation insurance, assistance is guaranteed throughout your journey. Underwritten by our partner, l’Européenne d’Assurance Voyages, the policy covers:

  • cancellation of lodging, rentals, or cruises
  • medical assistance, illness abroad, international repatriation for medical reasons
  • travel insurance for student travel and internships outside France
  • "Schengen area" expatriate insurance, legal costs, civil liability
  • compensation for lost, stolen or damaged luggage

Voyageur & Citoyen outreach programme

Complement your rail journey with a presentation on safety and civic responsibility in the rail system. Supported by the French Ministry of Education, our Voyageur et Citoyen programme raises awareness among young people through presentations made in classrooms by instructors drawn from 450 specially trained SNCF employees.

  • in the station—a welcome desk, customizable banners, announcements, and greeters at the entrance to your coach
  • aboard your train—customizable features and amenities, including magicians, workshops on make-up and science, and other activities to enhance your group’s experience

Transport & the human race

Pique your group’s curiosity with a tour of Des transports et des Hommes, an exhibit in Paris at the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie, Europe’s largest science museum. The exhibit uses audio-visuals, interactive multimedia displays, models and simulators to immerse youngsters in the history of our transport systems and their impact on modern society.

Plan your visit and download education documents from the exhibit
