Make an appointment in a sales office

By phone

From inside France, dial 36 35 any day of the week between 07.00 and 22.00. You pay €0.40/min including tax, plus any fees charged by your service provider.

Sales offices

Visit an SNCF sales office anywhere in France, and you’ll be greeted by our advisers, who specialize in travel and related services. They’ll do everything they can to help you:

  • buy your ticket at the best price for you
  • make the most of your railcard and loyalty card benefits
  • plan your journey
  • combine your rail journey with car rentals, flights and other services
  • manage your bookings, whether you made them over the Internet, by telephone, or at a travel agency or train station.

Save time in our sales offices with our appointment service*. Available in over 60 SNCF sales offices, this programme guarantees that you’ll get personal attention from one of our sales advisers, in the office of your choice and at an agreed time — no waiting.

In our stations

The salespeople in your station are on hand to advise you and help you find the best travel option for your needs.

You can also buy tickets at one of the self-service machines in our stations. Choose from three types of self-service machine: mainline, TER and Transilien. Use them to:

  • buy tickets, even at the last minute. Just use your smartcard and choose the "Départ immédiat” option
  • collect tickets you ordered over the Internet right before you board Simply follow the instructions and insert the card you used to pay on line—it’s a convenient way to make sure you don't forget your tickets
  • exchange or cancel your tickets
  • buy or renew your pass or railcard.

If your card doesn’t contain a chip—if you use an American Express card, for example, or if your card was issued outside France—you can collect your tickets from one of our salespeople at the station.

Travelling on business? Use the dedicated Pro Express option on our self-service machines to buy, collect, exchange or cancel your same-day ticket, or buy or renew your rail pass. You’ll find these kiosks in 460 locations throughout France—in stations, SNCF sales offices and even select shopping centres.

When you call our hotline, you get access to all of our telephone services, available every day from 07.00 to 22.00. Price of a call: €0.40/min including tax, plus any fees charged by your service provider.

Client Service

Need to buy or book a ticket by phone? Here’s how:

  • as soon as you connect to 36 35**, just say “ticket”
  • if you know the category you need, say “Loisir ticket” or “Pro ticket”
  • for Train+Car Rental combo tickets, say “car”
  • to buy or book a Eurostar ticket, say “Eurostar”; for a Thalys ticket, say “Thalys”. For other international tickets, say “other international lines”
  • if you’d like to cancel a reservation before your departure, say “cancel”.

To track your order, call 09 70 60 99 60 from inside France, Monday through Saturday from 08.00 to 22.00, or Sunday from 10.00 to 20.00 (except holidays). There is no surcharge.

To get instructions on using the hotline, simply say “guide” at any time.
