Music on board

Are you a music lover? Take a TGV to the doorstep of France’s greatest music festivals, and enjoy a whole new kind of concert on the way. When you travel with TGV Live, the festival starts as soon as the train leaves the station. Just head for the café-bar in coach 4 or 14 to enjoy sneak-preview performances by talented acts in an intimate setting. Since its creation, TGV Live has presented on-board concerts by a range of artists:

  • Spitzer: on 28 May 2014, the electronic duo Spitzer played aboard the TGV Live special from Paris to Lyon for the Nuits Sonores festival. Originally from the Lyon area, the two brothers have performed their elegant, pop-rock-influenced techno music all over the world
  • Casseur Flowters: on 4 July 2014, this hip-hop duo played aboard the Paris-Belfort TGV Live special bound for the Eurockéennes festival. Rappers Orelsan and Gringe, both from the French city of Caen, painted a humorous picture of the day-to-day life of two magnificent losers.
  • Bensé and Lior Shoov: on 9 July 2014, these two artists performed aboard the TGV Live special carrying music lovers from Paris to the Francofolies festival in La Rochelle. It was a journey for the senses, with French musician Bensé on the harmonica and Israeli singer-songwriter Lior Shoov performing on an eclectic array of instruments collected on her travels around the world.
  • Agua Roja and Encore!: on 21 August 2014, these two trios played in the café-bars of TGV Live specials bound from Marseille and La Rochelle to the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. Agua Roja performed sunny songs midway between surf music and flower pop, while Encore! delivered energetic pop with a disco vibe.
